The layout, room by room

The living room and the three bedrooms sit in a row along one wide façade, each with a three-quarter-height window. The living and dining room is L-shaped: it runs from the window wall past the household shelter to the front door, and opens into a wide hall in front of the bedrooms.

The kitchen is an enclosed galley that opens to the dining area with no door, with the service yard behind it through a folding door. The two bathrooms share a block off the hall. The master bedroom has its own door into a dressing alcove that holds the wardrobe and the door to its bathroom, so the master suite feels self-contained.

Styled as a Japandi showflat

Bare BTO flats are hard to read, so we staged this one the way a developer would stage a showflat: warm oak floors, fluted oak on the TV wall, a bouclé sofa, a paper lantern over the dining table and hidden cove lighting in the living room and bedrooms. The bathrooms are in a travertine-look stone.

HDB tiles the kitchen, service yard, bathrooms and household shelter. The living room and bedroom floors come bare unless you opt into its Optional Component Scheme, so the oak in the model is our styling.

Doors are sliding or slide-and-swing wherever the walls allow, which keeps the small rooms feeling open. This is one direction for this layout; we can stage your unit to your own taste or to your interior designer's plan.

About Lakeview Cascadia

Lakeview Cascadia is a Prime BTO project in Bishan, launched in HDB's June 2026 sales exercise. It is the first BTO project in the Lakeview area, where new homes are being built for the first time in over four decades, and HDB plans two more there in the next two years. The site is bounded by Upper Thomson Road, with Marymount station on the Circle Line and Upper Thomson station on the Thomson-East Coast Line, Shunfu Mart, MacRitchie Reservoir and the Upper Thomson Park Connector nearby.

The project has five blocks of 18 to 40 storeys with 1,221 flats: 476 2-room Flexi flats and 745 4-room flats. Two of the blocks also hold 50 rental flats in all. Its name comes from the blocks' cascading form, designed to sit with the landscape and nearby MacRitchie Reservoir. Planned facilities include a multi-storey car park with a minimart, shops, an eating house and a preschool, a roof garden on the car park with a fitness station, a hardcourt and a community garden, children's playgrounds, fitness stations and a residents' network centre.

As a Prime project, it has a 10-year minimum occupation period, a 10% subsidy recovery when the flat is sold, and no renting out of the whole flat. HDB's indicative prices for the 4-room flats were $534,000 to $742,000 before grants, and it estimated a waiting time of 51 months.
