The layout, room by room
The living and dining room runs across the front of the flat, with the three bedrooms along the same side and the kitchen, yard and bathrooms in the middle. The kitchen opens to the dining area, and the master bedroom has its own bathroom.
| Room | About | In the model |
|---|---|---|
| Living and dining | 28.7 m² | 2.2 m sofa, a 2.6 m TV console on a fluted feature wall, and a dining table for four under a paper lantern. |
| Kitchen | 6.2 m² | L-shaped worktop with a stone splashback, wall cabinets and a full-height fridge. |
| Service yard | 3.4 m² | Washer, utility sink and a drying rack by the window. |
| Household shelter | 4.0 m² | Steel door. Most owners fit shelves and use it as a storeroom. |
| Master bedroom | 15.0 m² | King bed (1.83 m) with a wing headboard, a 2.2 m wardrobe and a reading chair. |
| Master bathroom | 4.5 m² | Shower, vanity and WC. |
| Bedroom 2 | 9.3 m² | Queen bed (1.52 m), a 1.3 m wardrobe and a 1.1 m desk. |
| Bedroom 3 | 9.3 m² | Queen bed, wardrobe and desk, the same as bedroom 2. |
| Common bathroom | 4.1 m² | Shower, vanity and WC. |
Room areas are measured inside the walls of our redrawn plan and are approximate. HDB's 90 m² also counts the walls and the air-con ledge.
Styled as a Japandi showflat
Bare BTO flats are hard to read, so we staged this one the way a developer would stage a showflat: warm oak floors, fluted oak on the TV wall and sideboard, a bouclé sofa, a paper lantern over the dining table and hidden cove lighting in the living room and bedrooms. The bathrooms are in a travertine-look stone.
Doors are sliding or slide-and-swing wherever the walls allow, which keeps the small rooms feeling open.
This is one direction for this layout. We can stage your unit to your own taste or to your interior designer's plan.
